Different brand specs must matched?

Quick question: Different brand of memory rams are okay together as long as the specifications are the same?

Or is there a special boost if all rams are the exact brand and exact specs?

Matching 2 different kits of ram even if it's the exact same series, speed,... it can still result in issues. Ram is sold in kits to guarantee compatibility. Mix and matching diffrent brands is not recommended.

Well, it is recommended that it should be the same. However, I have seen reports that some users are able to use two brands (G Skill and Corsair). However, different brands may use different components inside, and could be sensitive to the motherboard. I would be cautious when using different brands. Make sure the timing and latency is actually the same.
