Hi all,
I am building a new PC.
CPU: i7-7700K
Cooling: (I will overclock) Corsair Hydro H100i V2
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080Ti SC Black edition
Case: Fractal design Define R5
MOBO: Asus ROG maximus IX Hero
RAM: 16GB Team dark ROGDDR4 3000
Storage: MyDigital SSD 480GB BPX80mm (2280)
PSU: Seasonic 860W Platinum
OS: Window10
discDrive: Asus random DVD drive
I got all the parts today excpet the ram. It is coming on Monday but I am not a patient man. I was wondering if I could for now build the PC and use ram from my current 5 year old machine. It is
G.SKILL 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800).
Will that still be compatible with Z272 chipset and current CPU?
