need help understanding if i can flash bios for 7th gen cpu's on a 6th gen board

I bought my pc on amazon, it is about to be shipped when i noticed that the board i picked was not a z270, and would cause problems with the i5 7600k. i ordered the msi Z170A SLI Plus, does it have updated bios where i can get to the point where i can flash the msi bios onto the motherboard? Or will i need to cancel the order and get a different board?

are you completely sure that i can not upgrade to the latest bios? i currently dont have enough to get a z270, so i need to be 100% on it

Yes, you'd not be able to boot with a Kaby on a Z170 board, if the board's BIOS does not support it.

that really sucks, all i have is a checking account, and to get the z270 is little over $4 over what i have

nvm, i got the board passing the z170, same stile ((just had to take a loan from savings) will pay back) lol, thans for not letting me make a big painful mistake.
