Should my Gtx 1080ti founders edition be hitting 84C while playing GTA V?

my GTX 1080Ti is hitting and consistantly staying at around 83-84C while playing GTA V at max setting but with AA at 2x . is that normal for a founders edition card to be hitting those temps? In Dying Light at max settings it hits 60-70 and stays around there. havent really tested any other games.

Also will these temperatures decrease the life of my GPU?

83-84C is warm but still within safe temps and is fine for the 1080 ti, and no it won't reduce the lifespan of the GPU. The max temp and where it would thermal throttle would be around 91C. You can help reduce temps by creating a profile with MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision X16 and create a fan profile higher then stock.
