Cant open my bios

On my startup screen it says (press del to enter setup/press TAB to dispaly bios post manager.only the TAB key works but when pressed it goes to a menu for starting my pc in safe mode pleas help

If your pc is booting to os then you type msconfig in run command then in the next opening window under boot tab uncheck safe boot box
and click OK. restart the pc and go into bios by pressing delete key it should go into bios.

Thank you for answering but all of the options where unchecked (SAFEBOOT) (NOGUIBOOT)(BOOTLOG)(BASEVIDEO)(SOS) other ideas? thank you

which version of Windows are you running ? if its windows 10 goto settings (the new control panel) - update and security - recovery - advanced startup - restart now button.

When you come to the blue screen select troubleshoot - Advanced - UEFI firmware settings - restart button, its should power down and boot to your bios itself.

It will reset your bios, however, it should then force you to enter then bios to reconfigure it.

Which motherboard is it, the vendor may have some software which will boot your PC to the bios, like Gigabyte fast boot utility.

Well i have a little project to upgrade my really old pc so i want to overclock and well you know so i kept this old mother board a P5L-MX (since it can overclock) is there any other way of accessing to my bios without the jumper?

Another thing I just read, you can try and reboot, as soon as the screen goes black, hold down multiple keys on the keyboard, keep them held down, the idea is to create a fake keyboard error and the PC should halt allowing you into the bios

Not go into the bios, but halt, it will then say on the screen theres been a keyboard error and give you an option to enter the bios, in theory.
