I ordered a new graphics chip to play a game a bought a couple of days ago and after plugging it into the pci express slot and turning my computer back on, there seems to be no output. Monitor immediately says no input and goes to sleep; mouse and keyboard do not seem to be receiving power either. After turning back off and removing the new GPU, the computer boots normally. I thought it might be a problem with "secure boot" but when I go into BIOS there is no option concerning secure boot, pci express, or GPU at all. My computer is a Gateway DX4870-UB20P running Windows 10 with an integrated GPU. The new GPU I'm trying to install is an ASUS Radeon HD 6450. I'd appreciate any help I can get with this!

I tried plugging the hdmi cable into the new card (as well as trying a vga cord when the hdmi didn't work), but if the new card is in the PCI Express slot at all then the monitor only says "no input, going to sleep" when turned on and the keyboard and mouse don't seem to receive any power

I am surprised you can run windows 10 on that system at all.........or can you? I do not think windows 10 would support such old hardware. Give some feedback.....this is interesting.
