Basically my motherboard (Asrock Z170 Pro4) didnt come with the right bios version for the CPU and it wont boot so I need to flash/update it. Is there a way I can do it at a low cost? Borrowing one isnt an option and most people I know dont have a lga 1151 CPU lying around.

I did see on ebay they were selling preflashed bios chips but Im trying to avoid having to spend any more than I have to.

I was reading about replacing bios chips and there was a way to reprogram it? Do you think that is possible? However I cant seem to find much about reprogramming them. I know biosflash.com sells them and flashes them with the latest firmware but its a bit expensive.

Never used one of these so I dont know how they work, so please dont ask, I have spotted youtube videos though giving general instructions, you need to get the right one for your bios chip and also, obviously, you chip must be removable.

Like I said, ive never used one, id suggest study into them, watch so youtube videos about them and then make your decision, but they are cheap as hell and probably handy to have about, especially if you ever have a bad flash, just pop the chip out, wipe it, and re-flash it using that device. My chip isnt removable, its soldered to the motherboard, so theres no point me buying one.
