Is their any way to fix the skyrim 4gb vram limit on windows 10. I have a gtx 1080 and im only getting 40 fps at 4k with at least a 150 mods and was wondering if i could boost that.
It's a 32-bit .exe, which is limited to 4GB Address Space usage/2GB Physical RAM use. There are various mods out there that try and force the Large Address Aware flag to try and trick the .exe into thinking it's 64-bit, but this can cause instability.
Skyrim is 32 bit, hence the limit. Try Skyrim SE which is 64 bit.
Googling "skyrim 4gb" gives hits for some patches said to work around the 4GB limit. I haven't tried them, and wouldn't trust them, but the choice is yours.

Are you using an ENB? Most ENBs use a performance mode to make more efficient use of VRAM. There's also ENB Boost, which doesn't add any lighting effects but does engage ENB's improved memory usage.
