And am looking to upgrade (not the gpu) now i dont have a big pockets and i can build the pc myself. If anyone can recommend some upgrades that would be great ie board ram and cpu as a bundle , or the parts single. P.s i can get ram and cpu second hand if that helps with cost/what to get.

This is for gaming.

I recently bought a I7-7700K and am very happy. I almost bought Ryzen for my first AMD in 15 years.

You didn't give a budget but said money is object so...

ASrock mainboard (My fav brand) Models vary by location so go with one you can afford where you live.
Corsair 3000mhz ddr4 16GB (I have 32GB of the same and it's solid at 3000mhz no prob)
Intel I5 or I7 (only part I would consider buying used if cheap)
Reuse your CPU fan if you can to save money as long as its good.
I like your GPU choice. I have a 1060 6gb

You may have to get a new optical drive. ATAPI? Really?

Sell your spare parts on an auction site and get 125-150usd back. At least I would get that where I live.

will that ram be ok ? as its 3000 ? i thought 3000 was not working right on ryzen ? unless i got that wrong
