Core i5 7500 and ASRock b350 pro4 compatibility?

Hi,

I'm fairly new to building pcs and I'm looking to upgrade my current one. I am looking at the ASRock b350 Pro4 Motherboard but I am not sure it will work with the Intel Core i5 7500?

Nope you'd need a b250/h270 or z270 motherboard to use it

Is the b250 the version down from the 350? Or an equivalent that supports Intel?

Neither. One is for AMD ryzen one is for Intel. I think amd just labeled their chipsets b350/370x to greif Intel for their next generation
