How would I migrate Windows 10 from a hard drive to a new SSD?

I'm planning on buying an SSD for use as a boot drive so that I can move my OS and important programs like Steam and Discord to the SSD, leaving my HDD open for my Steam/Origin library. How would I move my Windows 10 installation over to the SSD? Would it just be easier to wipe the HDD, and reinstall everything, putting everything I want onto the SSD? Thanks!

The safest option is to make a clean installation of Windows on the new SSD and then copy the required files (Steam library, origin etc) onto the new ssd. No hdd wipe required.

Boot from the Windows 10 installation media and connect both the HDD and SSD to your computer.

This way you can make sure the disk is formatted in the GPT style and all the Windows recovery partitions are properly created.
