I currently have an Alienware x51 and have been very happy with it however I would like to upgrade some components of it. I was thinking of keeping the CPU which is a Intel core i5-3450 3.1GHz as well as the 2x 8GB DDR3 ram and the 1TB HDD. The parts I was looking at upgrading would be the GPU from the current GT 640 to a GTX 1050 Ti, the PSU from a 330W to a corsair cxm 450w and the MOBO to a Gigabyte-GA-H77M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1155. also looking at the Corsair-350D window micro atx tower case. Just wanted some feedback regarding the choices I have made and anything I should consider or change.

This is my first time modifying a PC setup and I have found the process quite confusing so any feedback would be great because I wouldn't be surprised if all my choices were completely wrong.

Thanks for the help!

I won't comment on your choice of components for the upgrade, I'm sure others will be far more informed on this front.

The only thing I would say you need to consider is a new Windows licence. Typically the Windows licence for prebuilt PCs are essentially tied to the motherboard. The sort of upgrade you'll be making will invalidate it in the vast majority of cases.
