Hello,

I want to update my ram from 16Gb to 32Gb. Since I have bought my ram already four years ago I can not find the same model to sell. Is there any chance that I could pair my older ram with any newer model?

My curent ram model :
Corsair 16GB [dual || 2x8GB]
1866MHz
CL 9-10-9-27
1.50V
ver3.24
serial No. : CMZ16GX3M2A1866C9

Might want to look at Corsair itself,
http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/vengeance-16gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz16gx3m2a1866c9
this is on pounds,but i guess that dollars is possible as well.

We don't encourage mixing ram because it can go wrong,selling the old and get a fully compatibel 4x8gb set would be preferred.
The why is in the next,

Look at "Just Adding More Dram".S
Still might work just fine it's up to you to try.Maybe with adding some voltage to the sticks or memory controller or even loosening timings would it work if not at first.

You could check on the used parts sites like Ebay as well of course.
