I'm back, I have a Pentium E5200, which is dual core and at 2.50ghz.

I was wondering if since a GT 730 worked, then a GT 1030 would work also. The only reason I want the GT 1030, is because it is newer and is equal, possibly better than the GTX 750ti I was thinking of getting. Would it be safe to upgrade from a GT 730? I don't plan to play any medium CPU intensive games, since I have a console. I only play games like TF2 or L4D2. Thanks :)

GT 1030 is better than GT 730, but 750ti is better than 1030. so 1030 lies in between 730 and 750ti. as you mentioned you have console then 1030 is the choice for. but for gaming between those 3 I'll recommend 750ti.

Thanks man, have a great day :D

Actually, the GTX 750 Ti you thought of getting is waaay better than the new GT 1030. The GTX 750 Ti is about 1.2x faster than the GT 1030: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-750-Ti-vs-Nvidia-GT-1030/2187vsm283726

Coming from a GT 730, you'll double the effective speed of your graphics when you upgrade to a GT 1030: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GT-1030-vs-Nvidia-GeForce-GT-730/m283726vsm12582

But upgrading to a GTX 750Ti from a GT 730, it's about 2.5x the effective speed: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-750-Ti-vs-Nvidia-GeForce-GT-730/2187vsm12582

However, given that you have an E5200 CPU, it will highly likely hinder the max. performance of a GTX 750 Ti:

Yeah it is crazy how close the GTX 750ti and the GT 1030 are. GTX 750 only gets like 2 frames more, but you always need the extra haha, I just don't know what like model of the GTX 750ti I should get. The PC is the Inspiron 530 (not 530s)

The point of the video example is, even if you get a GTX 750Ti, it will only run at 30% to 40% performance because your CPU (E5200) is already maxed at ~100% (even at 3.25GHz). So, despite the GTX 750Ti's higher effective speed compared to both the GT 730 and the GT 1030, you might not get to reach it's max. potential (depends on your resolution and in-game settings of course).

I get it, I was not planning on playing demanding games anyway..But it is hard to find a GTX 750ti now. Well at least on that is under 100$

you are wrong. 750ti is not better than 1030. Overlocking 1030 is almost the same as 750ti

The 750ti is actually better than the 1030. *Overclocking would probably not end well anyways, and do not plan on it.
