I am looking to get back into PC gaming, and am wondering if what I have lying around will piece something decent together.

Games I'd be interested in playing are MMORPG's like Rift, WoW, etc. Also, I will probably play Destiny 2 when it comes to PC.

Here is what I have for available processors:
Intel i7 3770k
AMD Phenom II X4 965

RAM: I have 16gb for the Intel build, and only 8 for the AMD build. I don't know if I can combine them or not, I don't know the mobo's.

GPU: Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT, Nvidia Geforce GTS 450, and onboard intel HD 4000 (for the i7)

I do have an SSD on one build also, are those sort of vital to the gaming experience?

From the above list, will I be able to play these games ok? If not, what would be the most important piece to upgrade? The GPU?

Right now I'm playing Rift on the phenom, 8 gb ram, and 9500 GT GPU. On the lowest settings, it is bearable, but I die a lot when it gets really bogged down.

Solution
GPU is the update I would make. the 450 is your best card, but it's underpowered for the stuff you're looking at. You'd do well with the GTX 1060 6GB

use the Intel build

SSD isn't super important, will speed up loading times considerably though.
