My computer is turning on and off in a continuous loop. It is one week old. My computer was in sleep mode one day and then all of a sudden it starting turning on and off. It is a completely new hard drive, no stand offs are poking out, nothing is touching the MOBO, the outlet is fine, the RAM is fine, the screws are not too tight, so maybe the PSU has a problem I would like to solve the situation without just buying a new PSU just to see if it is the problem however, but it may come to that.

An interesting thing to point out is that the longer I keep it off, the longer it will stay on. For example, if I keep it off for 8 hours it will stay on for about 2, but keeping it off for 30 minutes will last in about 30 minutes time before it starts looping. Once it starts turning off and on, It will take about a second to turn on and .1 seconds to turn off. The temperature of my CPU is about 30 degrees in the BIOS, nothing is overclocking, and the fans are all working perfectly fine, the connections in my computer are also fine.

I'm looking for a good professional answer, as I have already asked this but have lacked answers that have helped me.

Solution
pretty nasty tho. it can be an individual component problem or shortage or maybe corrupted bios and also could be the battery, try to check each component connected properly and use latest bios, some component that were broke can be the issue either. maybe trying to run stress test or something that use pretty much a lot of power for long duration to test it is not psu power issue. try to read this forum, it might help a bit https://superuser.com/questions/556288/my-computer-doesnt-start-it-is-stuck-in-a-turn-on-turn-off-loop
