I was attempting to overclock my i5 4690k for the first time. I raised the voltage from 1.08, or somewhere around there, to 1.2. Fans, leds, etc turn on but monitor, keyboard, mouse do not.

PC Specs

CPU: i5 4690k
Mobo: Gigabyte z97mx Gaming 5
Memory: G.Skills Ripjawz X series 2x8GB
GPU: MSI GTX 960 4GB
Power: Cosair CX 500W 80+ Bronze

Troubleshooting steps I have taken:
- resetting CMOS via the pins (exactly as instructed in mobo manual)
- Starting pc using integrated graphics
- unplug every unnecessary cable/USB.
- Read almost every post with the same issue and tried their solutions.

Solution
Unplug the PC from the socket and remove the battery on the Mobo. Leave it out for about 1 min, this will reset BIOS to factory settings. Your CPU has an unlocked multiplied so you can simply change the multiplier value to OC. U don't need to meddle with the voltages or other values unless you really know what you are doing. When OC fails, usually the PC just chrashes or won't boot, but there is also a slim chance that you might fry something.
