Im having a bit of a problem right now... my new install of windows hangs after a few minutes after login. I've been trying to install and managed to install the sound drivers and google chrome. I heard somewhere that installing the amd chipset drivers will fix the hangs. Now when i load windows i just get a black screen with a cursor switching between the loading circle and the loading cursor rapidly seems to be doing nothing.... any recommendations? I really hope it isnt a problem with the hardware.

It should. An outdated version of windows can cause a lot of issues...

Try to find a way to see what the latest version of BIOS is available for your board. Put it on a USB stick and flash it.

As far as Windows goes; I'd shoot for Windows 10 if possible. But in reality; it shouldn't matter too much...

If you're talking about the USB version of Win10; don't worry about that. It'll auto-update upon installing.

I just attempted to update to creators update using the upgrade assistant and it didnt hang but bsod'ed on me with CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT on 70% install completion. I used a different sata connector, cable and power before trying to update
Should.i try to download the iso and do it while not in windows?
