Im looking for a new gpu and i have a small budget of 110$( im poor, live in a third world, have a broken family, dad doesnt work and im getting this money after selling my xbox so please dont ask me if i can increase my budget). Im looking at gpus, the gtx 580 and the hd 7850/70. I have 12 gb ram, i5 2500 and adequate psu and id like to know which card is better in overall performance given that gtx 580 costs 85$ and hd 7870 costs 110 or 100$. I could look at 760 too but thats not feasible. Thankyou

The HD 5970 and the GTX 580 perform similarly according to Toms Desktop GPU Performance Hierarchy Table, I would get the HD 5970 just for the extra memory but make sure your PSU can handle it and has the required power connectors before you buy.
In this situation, anything quite old will just not work with modern games. I could suggest the GTX 1050 2GB. You could get the older chips, but it will only cause frustrations. At least with the 1050, you will be able to enjoy many games at low to medium settings. not to mention, you don't have to worry about power connectors, unlike those other cards.

A 750 Ti is very similar to a 560 Ti so the GTX 580 will be faster, I have owned both the 750 Ti and the 560 Ti, you could consider a AMD RX460 if the price is low enough in your country, it is not very fast but it is modern and consumes a lot less power than a GTX 580, which power supply do you have?

I'd get the HD 7870. You have a decent enough quad core and plenty of ram, so you'll be able to play anything with the 7870, and it's still getting driver support. Since it's a 2gb card you'll need to compromise on settings/framerate/resolution, but that's part of gaming on a budget. You'll still be able to enjoy all games though, that's the important thing.
