Is this build worth $995?

Recently I asked if a dumb build was worth $930 and I realized it definitely wasn't, however, I just saw an offer on eBay and snatched it up immediately. Here are the specs

ASUS H170 Pro Gaming Motherboard.

Intel Quad Core i7-6700k 4.0GHz processor.

2 8GB Kingston DDR4 2133MHz sticks of RAM.

EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 FTW video card installed.

EVGA Supernova 750 G2 750W power supply.

It doesn't have a drive in it which is fine since I have my own SSD I'd like to put in it, but doesn't the deal seem pretty great? A 1080 alone costs around $500 and then the 6700k is around $350. The power supply is around $100 and then the rest pushes the total price over what I paid. And all of those prices felt pretty conservative.

I looked up the components elsewhere to double check and couldn't find them all separately for less than $1000. Maybe if you find the cheapest prices on places like the hardwareswap subreddit you could do it for less, but in general competitive pricing across well-known resellers seems to put the final price higher than $1000. Or am I wrong?

Is that a decent cooling solution? I'm not experienced with cooling.

Looks like it might be the Hyper 212 EVO. Inexpensive, and decent. Not the best out there, but barring catastrophic failure, it will do everything you need it to, especially when the CPU isn't overclocked.

One other note: the cabling is a mess of spaghetti. It could stand to have it undone and the cables rerouted to allow for better airflow. (Based on the image shown.)

But it's also used so....
Unless the fibbed a bit and it's like a non-K cpu, and some cheapo Kingston ValueRam.

The G2 PSUs had some quality issues I think as well, they were slightly worse than the G1s....
EVGA also resells those 1080s that got "stepped-up" as b-stock: https://www.evga.com/products/productlist.aspx?type=8&family=GeForce+10+Series+Family&chipset=GTX+1080
