I recently got a 2TB HDD online and connected it to my PC. The drive wont show up in BIOS but will in Device manager.

When i try to initialise it in Disk Management i get an error saying "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."
Thats for both GPT and MBR options.

Disk manager is also saying that there is only 3.86GB of unallocated space on the disk.

Solution
The drive has failed. 3.86Gb is the PCB's default kernel size when the drive has failed or when the PCB is disconnected from the HDA. Most likely if you listen carefully when it powers on you'll hear that it'll click a bit and possibly spin back down. That's the problem with cheap Seagate disks.
