im upgrading to windows 10 and im installing an ssd
i have 2 hdds and im removing one because i dont have an extra cable to power the ssd
i was planning on making a raid 0 configuration but im wondering if its worth the hassle and if it might give me any advantage over ssd alone(with os on it) and hdd

Yep.
You absolutely want the following combination only:

SSD (single drive) - Windows, applications, POSSIBLY some games if enough space (games with frequent load times benefit the most like SKYRIM with frequent loads due to entering dungeonds, jumping map points etc.)

HDD - everything else such as: backup image of SSD, media files, games etc.

Other:
FYI, you can MOVE games between Steam folders and can have one Steam folder per drive. So install to HDD if in doubt, but if necessary can easily MOVE the game to the SSD folder. Ask more if confused.

i have each disk in a separate partition and i want to carry on most of my data (which is on the c (the one with windows)) should i backup my files on the c then format it when i install windows or move the files to the d and install windows on the ssd
