Hello friends.
My Asus Strix RX480 is defective and unstable unfortunately.
Price of RX400 and RX500 series graphics cards are raising because of crytocurrency.
Actually I want to sell it but it is defective and probably make problems with Bitcoin or whatever its name. It isn't ethical to sell it without saying its problems.

If I RMA it, probably ASUS will not give me new card because of shortage.
Should i wait for the card to back to the stock?
If ASUS offers money return or give Strix GTX 1060 instead of it, should i take my money or GTX ?
I don't have Freesync monitor if you want to know.

I believe companies are required to have stock for RMAs. I know when my parents iPhone broke (it was like an iPhone 5 or something), even though it was no longer sold in stores, they still received one from Apple.

They have to honor the agreement, or give you a viable alternative, like a 970 or something. Talk to ASUS before deciding what you should do.

I read a topic before about RMAing the ASUS card.
In my country, ASUS gives a coupon for exchange. You can use the coupon and the seller which you bought an OEM product gives you a new VGA card.
My seller isn't have RX480 or RX580. Probably ASUS will say "wait for it, take your money back or take GTX1060 or similar card etc." to me.

Update: They gave me a document. I can get my money back or exchange with a new card from seller with it. But you know there is no RX480 or RX580...
If I take my money, I can't buy RX480 or GTX1060 with it.
1050Ti doesn't impress me.
I'll wait for RX or buy GTX 1060. Maybe buy very cheap GPU and wait for Vega. (Probably miners are waiting to attack stores to get Vegas. Who knows?)
