Is this possible? Im talking older games that would use dosbox like betrayal at krondor or something like that, small file sizes. I know this is likely possible because back in the day games didnt install as there was no hard drive, you booted it with a disk and if you wanted to play pitfall for example you ran it off a disk. Any idea how id go about doing it?

Agreed. Usually when you INSTALL a game it sets up registry setting and makes other links. There MAY be a way to just run direct from a DVD but I don't know about it. There have been games that simply run from an executable that can be copied to disc, but it's not common and at the least it sounds like you'd have to install DOSBOX.

I actually have a working copy of krondor on my home pc right now (runs with dosbox), the issue i see is running it off a dvdr, or maybe its not an issue. The idea is that i can take the disc anywhere with me and play krondor, like the library
for example, where you cant install things.
