Mobo killed by RGB?

A few days ago I started a build with a Z270 Strix, 7700k, Gskill Trident Z ram and a NZXT kraken. Upon completion I was able to use the computer without issues for most of the night. Eventually I downloaded multiple RGB controller programs including Asus Aura and NZXT Cam. I noticed that as soon as I tried to change settings with both programs activated there were software conflicts.

First I lost control of RGB on my second stick. The more I tried to troubleshoot the problem the worse things became. Eventually my second stick was totally bricked and was not being recognized at all. Then both sticks became unresponsive and and pc failed to post. Motherboard shows a LED indicating ram failure. I read a few posts about software conflicts between CAM and AURA and how the Trident Z's SPD profiles are somehow corrupted with the software conflicts.

I decide to go out today and buy new sticks of Corsair Vengeance, assuming that the only issue was the corrupted SPDs of the Gskill. Upon getting home my PC again fails to post with all combinations of the new Corsair ram. I test the ram in a new system and it works fine. At this point I think my Dimms are bad, but then my PC randomly decides to post with 1 stick of the Gskill and then two. I figure everything might be fixed but then after powering down it fails to post with any combination of either sets of ram. Every once in a while I will be able to post and actually get into windows but after powering down it will fail to post repeatedly with any combination of multiple sets of ram.

Heres what i've tried so far:
-All combinations of Rams from each set
-Check Connections
-Flash Bios
-Clear Cmos
- Removing all Peripherals/Fans/Gpu

Are there any explainable and fixable issues that would allow me to have an occasional post but then successively fail with multiple sets of ram? Should I just accept my fate and attempt to RMA the board and the ram?

Remove current ram.
Clear the CMOS, unplug the computer, hold down the power button for 10 seconds (uplugged), wait some minutes, plug it back in.
Put the corsairs back in.
Try to boot and wait a bit while it reads the new ram.
Keep trying with the corsairs, they should work eventually.

Also RMA the G.Skills, and uninstall the Aura and CAM softwares.
