Hello community,

I recently overclocked my Ram to 3200mhz becuase it was running at the standard 2133mhz speed. But every now and then (like every third of fourth boot) I get this "warning" screen:

Imgur

I looked up all the timings and stuff and checked, if the bios had the right settings. So i don't know what is causing this problem.

After pressing f1 or ctrl+alt+del the system boots normally.
Should I deactivate XMP, am I harming my PC with this? Or how can i fix this?

Some specs:

Intel i5 6600k @standard clockspeed
Asus z170-p
Corsair Vengeance 2x8gb 3200mhz ddr4
120gb SSD for OS

Thank you in advance!

That BIOS screen is telling you the memory overclock failed. When you restart after that screen, it's running the RAM at 2133.

Depending on the motherboard, sometimes XMP will also cause the cpu to run at max clock speed all the time, which might cause instability like this. To test that you could disable XMP and manually set the RAM to the boosted setting in BIOS

Hmm, but if I continue after that screen, the Ram is still running at 3200mhz according to the task manager.
And in my case, the cpu is normal and behaves like the energy modes suggests.

Do I have to adjust the timings etc. to the Ram used too?
