Between a Zotac GeForce GTX 260² (GTX 260-2) 896MB
& a
Gigabyte Nvidia GT 730 Graphics Card (2GB, DDR3, 64 Bit)
I own both these cards ( it has to be one or the other) And yes I am aware they are both rubbish ;)

Which of the two would be preferable to put in as a temporary gpu in a new build until I can buy a GTX 1060? I'm hoping to buy the 1060 within the next two months.

The new build consists of
Ryzen 5 1500x CPU
Gigabyte AX370 Gaming 5 motherboard
16GB DDR4 3000mhz RAM
& drives, fans etc

Thank you :), I did look at bench marks but they seem to both have plus & minus points

As you said, both have some pros and cons. 260 is faster for gaming, but 730 has newer and better-supported drivers (also uses *much* less energy and produces virtually no heat). In the end, you have to make a simple choice: gaming performance or heat/power consumption?

I had feeling you were going to say no, don't be stupid it is obvious card x should be the one. :D
Now what to do umm

Ok add into the mix I'm running 2x monitors. One is just for cctv display (ispy software) & until I get the new gpu the other monitor is mainly internet (multiple tabs & browsers) videos etc

Does that make one better or no?

Also re heat I'm putting it in a corsair c70 (big airy loads of fans) & hopefully for less than two months till I get a decent GPU

It won't mess up my new mobo will it if I use the 260?
