So basically, My mother had a PC which had all of her pictures on (no backups that I knows) break. The hard drive seems to remain fine however no images seem to be showing up. I plugged the HDD directly into my pc with a SATA cable and the drive showed up straight away!
Upon navigating to the user section of the drive, the accounts shows and when i unhid all the folders, they all seemed to show up but access was denied. I managed to somehow take ownership of all the files but I cannot access the 'my pictures' and 'my videos' folder as it comes up with this message
I also tried scanning the drive with Recuva and none of the images show up so I'm essentially out of my depth of understanding. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
