I have an Asus RIG Strix Z270i mobo, but it doesn't have an internal USB 2.0 header. I wish PCPartpicker would have told me, but its incompatible witb the NZXT Kracken x52, because to power the pump, there needs to be a Mini USB to USB 2.0 internal connecter. Is there any way to power the pump without a USB 2.0 header? I have a Mini USB to USB cable, would that work at all (If I route the cable outside the case and plug it in externally), or do I need a new MOBO?

Your Z270i has an internal USB3.0 (19-pin) header. If you are amenable to not using such header for the front panel USB ports of your case, you can use such header to connect the NZXT Kraken X52 USB2.0 cable by using a USB3.0-to-USB2.0 adapter such as this:

Yes that can work. I've seen videos that the Hue+ can be hooked up like that. My question is, it doesn't say USB any where onthe motherboard itself? Trying to find images, but the angles are off.
