Can I Run Kaby Lake?

I want to upgrade my cpu.

I have an MSI z170 M3 and was looking to get the i5 7500 Kaby Lake.

I know these have the same sockets but I'm just wondering what problems I may run in to. I already have an OS installed on an SSD.

you will need a skylake CPU to flash the BIOS which will then enable the Kaby Lake CPU

the system will not POST (Power on Self Test) without a CPU installed, the motherboard (unless the BIOS has been pre-flashed to enable KABY) will only allow BIOS entry after POST.
