Can you remove thermal paste / detach a CPU cooler?

Hi,
I'd like to upgrade my Coolmaster 212 Evo to a Cryorig R1. Will i be able to remove the thermal paste and then reapply more paste and the R1?

Yes you can just use Isopropyl alcohol (a type of rubbing alcohol) 90% and a cotton swab or lint free wipe.

You don't need Isopropyl alcohol 90%, 70% would be fine. Medical alcohol pad is quite useful as it's both lint free and isopropyl alcohol 70%.
