I have an OEM Asus board that's pretty much the P8H61 M-Pro but with a different Bios disabling stuff like memory overclocking. Was just wondering if it would work with the Xeon? Or would the OEM bios cause issues? Cheers.
The OEM board may have not included support for the Xeon's only way to find out it check the release notes for their BIOS upgrade's or put it in and try

If it turns out that the OEM BIOS doesn't support the Xeon, I should just be able to replace the BIOS chip with the retail one as I assume H61 boards support Xeons?
Are you sure I wouldn't be able to replace the BIOS chip with the one from the retail P8H61 M pro? The Xeon is listed as compatible with the retail BIOS and this board is identical to it apart from a few heatsinks and obviously the BIOS.
