How to configure boot priority properly

Hi All,

I have just made some minor changes to my BIOS. Specifically, I have turned the turbo mode on and I switched my SSD to AHCI mode from RAID. I think it was automatically in RAID, but I never tuned it since I built this machine. I read that AHCI is better to run if I don't run/need raid. I did all this in hopes of speeding up my machine, as I feel it's too new to be running (in what I consider) slowly on start up. Can someone tell me the proper boot sequence?

Here is what my sequence currently is:

1. Windows Boot Manager (P5 Samsung SSD 850 PRO)

2. UEFI IP6 Intel(r) Ethernet

3. UEFI IP4 Intel(r) Ethernet

4. P5: Samsung SSD 850 Pro 1TB

5. P6: WDC (HDD)

My build is:
I7 6700K
Asus Maximus Formula VIII
Corsair 3200 Dominator Platinum
Samsung 850 Pro 1tb (OS Drive)
WD Black
GTX 1080FTW

Also, to be clear, I'm not unsatisfied with any performance of my machine, I just wanted to make sure I'm running everything at its optimized points for best performance.

Thank you!

Not really sure of course of everything that you have done or tried to date.

May not be an issue with the boot order per se.

Did you set the SATA mode to AHCI before installing the OS?

There are numerous links on the web with respect to your post.

E.g. the following link from within this forum:

Hopefully you can make any necessary adjustments or changes without the need for a full "do-over".

Or have the option to try some while accepting the risk that things go astray and you end up with a "do-over" anyway.

Hi There,

I'm sorry I did not see your reply for quite some time. I do not recal if I set the SATA mode to AHCI before installing the OS. Is there anyway to check?
