Hi all. Looking to do my first PC build in about a month after saving a bit of money now. I just need some help or suggestions as to what the best build for this price would be? I don't have any Intel or AMD preference, just whatever would help me run best!

I mostly just use my PC for playing games and regular browsing but would like to try streaming too with this new build if possible. Don't need peripherals currently but maybe I'll upgrade those too later. Thanks for any and all help.

( Also if you want to laugh / facepalm at me, the PC I'm using right now is still running on an intel i5-760...:vomi: )

Because you want to start streaming, you may want to consider a Ryzen 1700. IT has 8 cores and 16 threads, and should be able to handle multiple tasks at once with a breeze. Not sure about the monitor, but the GTX 1060 6GB should provide good use of 1080p gaming at good frame rates. If you are still iffy about streaming, you can drop down to a Ryzen 1600 to save money, to just test the waters, but I think if you are willing to pay 800-1000 then the 1700 is the perfect match for you. It will also help with editing, and anything else you want to throw at it.

Add second stick of 8GB RAM in future. For now it is fine as still majority of games get satisfied with 8GB RAM. Adding second stick of RAM in future is easy as you are getting uncompromising performance out of R7-1700 and GTX1080 combo.
