Hi!
So I've been building a PC for a friend, with this specs:
ASUS B250m-a
Intel Pentium G4560
2x Corsair Vengeance DDR4 4GB Ram Sticks (can look up the exact model if needed)
No GPU yet
It's my first time building a computer but I'm quite sure that everything is alright and in its place. I-ve had some trouble figuring out where the case cables (power on, reset...) should go but I'm almost sure I've done everything alright.
But there's somewhere I might have messed up. The problem is: whenever I try to turn the pc on, it acts like it's trying to do it. I mean, the fancy green leds turn on for half a second, and I can see the CPU cooler move a little (very little) bit. But then it stops. The only thing that is on from the very beginning is an orange led in the mobo. Sadly I can't see where does it come from. I've read that it's either the CPU or the RAM. I checked out the CPU and everything seems to be alright. Can't do it for the RAM though, because I don't have any other RAM to try out.
So if you guys have any idea of what might be going wrong, please let me know. Everything is of course on warranty but I wouldn't want to return things since they are not mine.
Thank you a lot for your responses
