New Monitor and GPU help

Want a new monitor, looking at the ultra wide monitors but not sure as to what to get. currently i have a 4gb 960, i5-6600k ,8GB RAM 2400MHz.
I know I'll need a new GPU (Imma thinking 1070 or 1080) but i dont want to upgrade my PSU, Its a corsair CX550.

The CX550 will drive a GTX1080 and a i5-6600k no problems. If you are not OC'ing your PC would be pulling about 345watts total if you had a GTX1080.

If you get a new monitor the 1070 is a great 1440p card and the 1080 is an OK 4K card.
