I'm getting a Ryzen 1600x i'm just wondering what would be the best motherboard choice. I have never overclocked and i want to.

Thanks for the responses!

The ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4, with 9 power phases, is a great motherboard for OC'ing Ryzen CPUs.

ASRock - Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4 ATX AM4 Motherboard ($104.49 @ SuperBiiz)

Also, you might want to consider the Ryzen 5 1600 (instead of the Ryzen 5 1600X), for better price/performance (less TDP/heat/power consumption, less cost, included stock CPU cooler, and can reach roughly the same performance as the X version).

Would getting a x370 bored be a bad idea just curious

The major feature that X370 mobo's have is SLI support (almost all X370 does), while all B350 mobo's do not.

Another feature is most X370's have 6x, 8x, or 10x, SATA ports, while all B350's have either 4x or 6x.

The rest of the other ports/connections are the same. Even OC support.

So, best price/performance are the B350 motherboards UNLESS you require SLI or more 8 to 10 SATA ports.
