So my ASUS GPU Tweak II was being weird, so I uninstalled it (I dont know if It was safe to,) and installed the MSI afterburner, is this ok to do since my GPU is an asus strix 1060 6GB and the tweak app is from msi?

They are all based of of the program Riva Tuner. Each one with a different skin attached so they look different. they will all overclock a card. Will it hurt the card to use a different program? No it wont. Can you damage your GPU using even Asus Tweak? Yes, you can damage the GPU in all of them.

If you set the settings too high you can damage your GPU. This is all on how you use it and what you do with it that can hurt your GPU. EVGA Precision, HIS iTurbo, Asus Tweak, MSI afterburner and others, that I'm forgetting, are all based off the Riva Tuner program. These all will work with your GPU.
