So after numerous tries at trying to make my pc better. I've just given up on it and gonna use parts from it to start fresh. The main thing I'm looking for is a case, motherboard, and processor ( Intel or Amd I don't have a preference). I already own a graphics card (gtx 1050) and 8gb of ram ( 2x4gb). I just want to be able to play games, mostly Overwatch, at high settings. I'm not looking to spend much honestly just some parts that are cheap but efficient for this task

don't get fm2+, you can't upgrade. get DDR3 lga1151 motherboard with g4560. upgrade to i5 or i7 once you have money.

Budget and type of RAM?

Fractal Design (eg. Define R5 or smaller) for case if you have the budget (costs $100+ but is superb and you won't need extra fans save for cpu)
MB depends
Ryzen or i5 (Ryzen gives you more cores/threads)

Is your old PSU good to go too?
