i have a fiber internet connection with static ip and its modem is hooked up to a ASUS RT-n12hp with PPPoE. i have got a backup internet DSL line and i have run a CAT6 cable from DSL modem to the ASUS router LAN port 4 which i selected from the ASUS interface as a DUAL WAN port. the cat6 cable from DSL modem if connected directly to laptop gives internet access but when connected to DUAL WAN LAN PORT 4 of asus the asus firmware says "your ISP's DHCP does not function properly","DHCP connection failed"
the DSL Modem has IP 192.168.10.1
ASUS has IP 192.168.10.2
i am open to changing any IP address as you recommend kindly help please. Thank you
