I live in Australia and am currently looking to build my first gaming pc on a $800 budget. I NEED HELP. What is the best paired and compatable cpu for the gtx 1050ti. Is the intel i5 6400 and or the intel i5 7500 a bottleneck to GTX 1050ti at all??? Are both of those CPUs a bottlneck? if so, my other cheaper alternative is pairing the gtx 1050ti with an "intel i3 7100" is that a decent dessision? I want to play at reasonable to high settings but a bit bellow 1080p is fine.

Solution
The same day that Pentium isn't "enough" for you, you think the same thing of the 7100. It doesn't off enough of a performance boost to come close to justifying it's cost premium.

Thanks for the quick responses. I just need a definate opinion on whats the best combo for now. Im not too concerned about the best of the best but wanting a combination of a cpu and gpu thats going to get me by for a while. I have plans to uprgade to a more powerful pc later on. But for now i just need something decent that will run modern games at medium to high settings and will be sn overall fast pc for multitasking. Any suggestions?

Thanks apreciate the help. So everyones telling me to get the pentium bht how good is it going to be? I'm also planning my pc be for music production. I dont need hardcore performance but the whole point of my build is for it to be better than a laltop, and a reliable machine to last a few years. How long till i would have to upgrade my cpu? Whats the current lifespan of the pentium g4560?
