My computer would turn on for about 4-5 seconds with nothing on the screen and then suddenly turned off. After this I then reseated both of the RAM sticks in the same slots and checked if everything was working properly and it was. I want to know why this has happened and if it might happen again. Thanks.

Computer specs:
Intel I7 7700k
H115 liquid cooler
16 GB Corsair vengeance RGB 2666Mhz RAM
Corsair 750RM
Z270 msi pro carbon motherboard

When shutting down the computer, if you need to work on it, remove the power cord from the back of the computer and always press the power button on your computer a couple of times to discharge the power supplies capacitors, if they are still holding a lot of charge, as thats what they are for, storing electricity, then this will happen.

Thank you for your answer. I was not working on it. It was working fine yesterday, I was able to do tasks on the computer without this problem. I then came home today tried to turn it on and it would boot and then turn off?

Oh I see, I mis read your original post, it could be that your ram was maybe not seated properly, has it happened again since ? turn off the computer, give it a couple of mins and see if when you start it back up if it does it again.

I managed to turn it on twice before leaving for work. Both times worked normally, I checked if everything was running correctly and it was. It probably was because it wasn't seated correctly, shall keep an eye on it, thank you :)
