One more thing, do you have any suggestions how to get the most out of that kit? In other words, should I get the latest update for taichi (I'm on factory setting p1.6 now), what timings should I use, and in general any piece of advice is useful.

At the moment, with RyZen, always make sure you are on the latest bios, so many things are being fixed at the moment.
That RAM kit is Samsung B-Die, RyZen love those chips, so just set XMP profile, you wont need to touch anything else, it will set its timings, voltage and speed itself, it will run at 2933mhz, but with those chips, you could probably set 16-18-18-38, 1.35v and run it at 3200mhz.

just a few more things, I'm trying to download the Europe 2.40 version but the page won't load whereas the US version loads/downloads instantly. So can I simply download the US version or do I have to stick to Europe Version since I'm from Europe?
Also, do I have to download all the previous versions of BIOS or can I just jump from p1.6 to 2.4?

no you can download from the US site, they are all the same, and just flash the latest bios, it will contain all of the previous fixes too.
