Screws not reaching stand offs or really bad threads

so I am half way through a pc build and have gotten into a huge amount of frustration with the NZXT S340 elite stand offs, when i place the mobo onto them and try to screw it in the stand offs on the bottom's screws never catch any solutions?

Have you checked they align properly (= standoff visible through MB holes)? Can you post pictures of the parts (= screw and standoff)?

Try it without the motherboard.

Put the standoffs in. Do they tighten up with just finger pressure?
Next, put the screws into the standoffs. Do they tighten up with just finger pressure?

You may be using the wrong screws.

Or, of course, the case threads may be stripped.

thanks for the answers but it turns out that nzxt somehow mixed up the screws in the bags that the case came with ( I found out with google images )

Ha! We knew it! There is always some head scratching with such issues when you build.
