Hi

I am trying too hookup two identical PWM fans to the same CPU port. From what I can remember, PWM ports don't like to share voltage nicely, so either power will be dropped or port will have problems.
Is there any cable that allows me to draw on the PSU power while having the same control from the CPU Fan Control port?

For the record, I can't fit any controllers to the front due to no bays and I don't want to do much in the way of manual tweaking either. Just want this to run by itself.

Thanks.

PWM ports don't like to share voltage nicel Not sure who told you this, but its not true, you can run upto 3 fans off 1 port based on the average port giving 1 amp and the average fan requiring 0.28-0.35 amps, so if you want to run just 2, which ive done many times, infact, im running 3 fans off 1 port right now, 3 times, ie 3 off the CPU fan header, 3 off sys1 and 3 off sys 2, then just get one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Akasa-4-pin-PWM-fan-Splitter-2-Fans-from-a-Single-Motherboard-PWM-Header-/291533240269?_trksid=p2385738.m2548.l4275

Hey Thanks,

I may have misremebered the whole voltage devision thing from a differnt thing. I did a lot of electrical work so it could be from that. But the cable in question allows the same control per one port? I have seen some that just registers one fan.

Yes, you'll be able to control both fans.

Before I moved to my RGB fans, I was using one of these and running 6 Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans off it, it has a molex connector for the power to the fans and a supplied cable from the box to the CPU fan header for PWM signal / control, its tiny by the way, can be mounted anywhere: http://www.candccentral.co.uk/phobya-pwm-8-x-4pin-splitter-81136.html

you can get cheaper ones, that control less fans too: http://www.candccentral.co.uk/Phobya-PC-Case-Fan-Controllers/
