GTX1080ti + 4790k @ 1440p

Please could someone tell me if a GTX1080ti with a 4790k work fine together?

I also have a 1440p monitor at 60hz.

Any help would be appreciated.

See no problems, you'll see a SMALL gain by moving up to a faster CPU, but not enough gain to make the upgrade even vaguely worthwhile.
Suggestion: If have not yet purchased that big '1080Ti or can return it for minimal cost, consider dropping to a mere GTX1080 and pocketing the difference, my '1080 can run 1440 rez fast enough for me to be thankful I got a 144HZ Freesync display last year. ;)
