See no problems, you'll see a SMALL gain by moving up to a faster CPU, but not enough gain to make the upgrade even vaguely worthwhile.
Suggestion: If have not yet purchased that big '1080Ti or can return it for minimal cost, consider dropping to a mere GTX1080 and pocketing the difference, my '1080 can run 1440 rez fast enough for me to be thankful I got a 144HZ Freesync display last year.

The biggest gain you can get from that system is using 2400 ram or higher. Benching 1330 to 2400 saw a massive jump, upwards of 15fps for 1080P and about 6 for 2k. 1866 to 2400.. not so much.
