Hi everyone,

I'm building a PC for the first time to surprise my husband for his 30th birthday next month. Could you give me some feedback? do I need additional fans for the pc? anything will do. and it'll be great if you could point out any unnecessary parts or suggestions to cut the price a bit. Can't believe it'll cost $2000 to build a gaming PC...

here's my list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/

thank you all!

Solution

You could definitely take some things down on some of the parts in there, and get better things for cheaper:
I made a new link for you that might opt better for you.

You can't just list that link, it'll show up the current one for people that have been on or not been on PCPartPicker. You need to look at the permalink located on the top left corner of the said so build on the site.

The whole build shouldn't be costing you $2000, you might be going overkill on some things. You can get a great 1080p gaming computer for around $1000.
