So a few hours ago I was planning on overclocking my GTX 1060 (GV-N1060WF2OC-6GD 6GB ). I ran a quick benchmark at stock speeds to get a comparison for later. To my surprise I saw that my core clock had reached a maximum of 1949MHz. But wait a minute, it was advertised as a max OC Mode boost clock of 1797MHz. Why is it that my card is running roughly 150MHz faster than the boost clock was advertised? Also, it is still safe to overclock?
