Spec:
- MB, Asus z87-Deluxe
-CPU, i7-4790k .4.0GHz
- RAM 16
-GPU. GTX 980Ti Manli
- Using 2k Monitor 144hz Gsync

-Now i got a pretty good deal on a AORUS GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti , since new games coming up. for now the 980ti is pretty solid . is it worth the upgrade?

-is there any concern regarding bottleneck with this spec?

Thanx

It honestly depends on what you are doing. For 1440p a 980ti will work just as well as a 1080 ti, however with 4k you will be able to bump up the settings from high to ultra on a 1080 ti. So what games will you be playing on what monitor?

EDIT: and you probably won't bottleneck very much with even an older i7. In any system the has to be a bottleneck, and it might be the CPU in some games, however you won't be able to get anything that significantly;y beats it!

For now ill be with 2k monitor dont plan on going 4k, but as for the games thats coming up such as Destiny 2 , Anthem , Assassins Creed and More which requires good gpu.

yesterday i started playing Mass effect andromeda, with the high settings on 1440p my FPS was 57 drops to 45 some times, whcich made me thought of the GPU upgrade

Hi,
Interesting. A 1080 ti would (obviously) give you over 60fps ultra @ 1440p (honestly probably 70 or 80 fps, at least) however the question is: how much does that matter to you. buying the newest high-end graphics card every generation can be very costly, and so generally I upgrade every 2 generations, when my old graphics card can no longer push 60fps on high at my chosen resolution. Your choice though.
