I am a complete noob. I want to put my I3 7200 in this computer and take the I5 and put it in my main computer. Is that possible?

Solution USAFRet Jun 17, 2017 Shut-in : USAFRet : Optiplex 7010 is a model line. Spans multiple processors and sockets. What does that mean? Meaning that "Optiplex 7010" is not enough to determine what is in that thing. Just like vehicles..."Ford F-150" spans multiple years and multiple engines. 6cyl, 8 cyl, diesel, gas...

That looks like a SFF (Small Form Factor) case, and quite possibly the CPU is not changeable. But it would presumably be under the large black thing right in the middle. Upvote 0 Downvote
